Sara Crouch
Managing Director
Sara is the Managing Director of Transport Engineering and Management Pty Ltd (TEAM).
Sara worked on the family mixed farms for several years before completing studies as a Senior Auditor. She continued as a self-employed Senior Auditor under contracts to two major international audit providers until 2009 when she accepted a role as Global Technical Manager for one of the providers she had previously contracted to. That role resulted in continuing as an Auditor and as Global Technical Manager, undertaking reviews and training of a team of global auditors and troubleshooting when problems arose. Her role entailed significant overseas travel for training personnel.
In 2015 Sara joined TEAM as a Director and Administration Manager. Since joining TEAM Sara developed skills in the whole range of work undertaken and has a major role in managing the business as a whole with particular emphasis on Performance Based Standards and Vehicle Access.
Sara’s skills and drive resulted in her becoming the Managing Director, a role that continues all the previous activities as well as managing the business. For the last several years her drive that has resulted in the business continuing to grow and remain at the forefront of Transport Engineering in South Australia and into all parts of Australia operating under the National Heavy Vehicle Law.
Cass Mahoney
Senior Engineer
Cass has over 10 years of experience in the Heavy Vehicle Industry including over 8 years as an Engineer.
After completing a Mechanical Engineering degree, Cass worked as a service advisor for a leading Adelaide New Truck Dealership, providing great experience of the issues faced by Drivers and Operators and the constant challenge towards greater efficiency.
Cass started work with TEAM in 2018 and has learnt from some of the most experienced engineers in the transport industry. Throughout these 8 years she has grown to take on all facets of the business’ scope and is a nationally approved NHVR Performance Based Standards (PBS) Certifier and an Approved Vehicle Examiner (AVE) / SA Recognised Engineering Signatory. Within TEAM, and externally Cass has become the primary in-house adviser providing answers to complex problems, to confirm a legislative query, or to provide technical engineering support.
Mitch Pitt
Graduate Engineer
Mitch commenced his career in the transport industry in 2012 gaining his trade qualification as a heavy diesel mechanic for an oversize freight specialist.
On completion of his trade training he continued as a diesel mechanic, undertook driving over-mass and over-dimension semi-trailers and multi-combination vehicles (Road Trains and B-Doubles) Australia wide.
His role expanded to include design and fabrication of specialised trucks and trailers to cart the oversized loads the company required. This work became a large part of the duties he undertook since 2019, at the same time undertaking and completing a degree in mechanical engineering and advanced manufacturing.
Mitch has been working for TEAM since early 2025, working alongside their experienced Engineers, assisting in compliance and application of engineering principals, including design of towbars and drawbars, assessment of vehicles for compliance with the requirements of Vehicle Standards Bulletin (VSB) 6 and establishment of data analysis tools for assessment of Performance Based Standards combinations.
Roger Hogben
Technical Manager
Roger has been involved in the Transport Industry for 40 years, initially completing his training as a Diesel Mechanic with a heavy vehicle repairer in Port Lincoln South Australia.
Subsequent to completing his trade training he worked as a Diesel Mechanic for a local Road Transport Operator then for an Adelaide New Truck Dealership gravitating to a Leading Hand position in the Dealership.
In late 2018, Roger moved to TEAM as a Technical Advisor, where his mechanical background and industry knowledge are put to good use within TEAM and for our clients.
Roger is nationally approved as an Approved Vehicle Examiner (AVE) / SA Recognised Engineering Signatory involved with Vehicle Standards Bulletin 6 (VSB6) Certification of truck and trailer Modifications, Re-rating for general and over-mass transport operations, Road Trains, B-Doubles and higher mass limit, and reporting on structural condition such as chassis cracks, corrosion and component replacement.
